ArmInfo. Real revolutionaries, and not those who simply strove to power on the wave of the popular movement, should first of all announce a large-scale amnesty, first of all, with regard to prisoners who were arrested precisely because of their revolutionary activities. About this during his press conference from the "Vardashen" penitentiary, oppositionist Shant Harutyunyan, who was arrested for 6 years on charges of violent resistance to a representative of power, stated.
According to him, the current authorities had two convenient cases for announcing the amnesty: "May 28 is the day of the first republic, it has already passed, it was not used by the RA Independence Day, September 21. But there is no question of amnesty yet. Revolutionary authorities should have been the first to declare an amnesty without linking it with any significant dates. "Humanism" should be written on the "forehead" of the revolution. "
Nevertheless, he thanked Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for the opportunity to hold a press conference in custody, since under the previous authorities he was not given such an opportunity.
Note that Pashinyan suggested Harutyunyan change the measure of his restraint, but he refused, demanding an excuse. Pashinyan refused, arguing that he can not, like the previous authorities, manage the courts.
Nevertheless, the group "Sasna Tsrer", the party "Heritage" called for the justification of Harutyunyan, believing that for this there are legal bases. "Everything else is an attempt to throw dust in the public eye," - said the group "Sasna Tsrer."
