ArmInfo . Armenia became a participant of the Creative Spark business program, whose goal is to promote higher education reforms and develop entrepreneurial skills in the creative field. 7 countries, including Armenia, take part in the program, implemented with the assistance of the British Council.
The program was launched today, on September 4, with the signing of a tripartite memorandum under which the Minister of Education and Science Araik Harutyunyan, culture minister Lilit Makunts and the director of the British branch of the British Council Arevik Saribekyan put their signatures. Stressing the importance of the initiative, Araik Harutyunyan noted that, especially in the field of education, the development of entrepreneurial skills is a necessity. "This initiative is important from the point of view that we in the sphere of art, having great successes, do not have the opportunities for commercialization and specialists engaged in trade, in this sense, the relevant knowledge and skills are very important for the development of the industry," said the Minister of Education and science.
In her turn, the head of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia Lilit Makunts stressed that the agency promotes creative entrepreneurship and any thought aimed at the development of thought. "We will do everything for the success of the project," the minister said.
Director of the British branch of the British Council Arevik Saribekyan stressed that the support of education and culture is one of their priorities, and in this sense the program is unique, as it unites both spheres and contributes to solving common problems.
The five-year program Creative Spark is based on the UK's leading experience and can promote cooperation between higher education institutions in Armenia and Great Britain.
