ArmInfo. With a view to peaceful coexistence, henceforth singing and listening to loud music can only be done until 23:00. On August 30, Chief of the Police of Armenia Valery Osipyan announced this.
"Music is beautiful, very nice, especially for tourists and passers-by, but it's beautiful for passers-by, but it becomes problematic for residents who hear it from morning till night." We receive numerous complaints from residents, "Osipyan said. In particular, referring to yesterday's incident with the driving of policemen of two foreign musicians on the Northern Avenue, the police chief noted that they were drunk. Between them there was a fight, there was a foul language, and the forces of law and order were forced to cope because passers-by asked the police to intervene.
The police noticed that they had bottles of beer. That is, according to Osipyan, there was a flagrant violation of the rules of using alcohol in public places. They were brought under the law to the police, where a protocol was drawn up, and after the expiration of their term they were released. "During the incident between street musicians and policemen in the Northern Avenue there was no violation of the law - everything was within the law," said the police chief, stressing that he does not see the need for an internal investigation.
As a result, as the head of the police said, this morning he instructed the policemen that, in the future, when sounding loud music, they would approach and warn musicians "that it would be pleasant not only for them, but also not disturb the peace of others, adhering to the rules of peaceful coexistence".
On the eve, at approximately 21:30, the police subjected two Ukrainian citizens to the drive on the grounds of Article 175 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (drunkenness in a public place). After drawing up the relevant protocols, they were released. Further on, a video was published in the network in which police use force to remove the Ukrainian musician from the Northern Avenue, while he claims that he is in a sober state and does not understand why he is taken to the police only for playing on the avenue.
