ArmInfo. An Armenian delegation headed by the Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Ara Babloyan, who is on an official visit to the Czech Republic, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrei Babish, on August 24.
As the press office of the Armenian legislature reports, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament congratulated the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic on the fact that the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic approved the government headed by him.
In the course of the meeting, the RA NA Speaker stressed the importance of expanding relations with the Czech Republic in various fields, confirming Armenia's interest in ensuring continued political dialogue, expansion of trade and economic cooperation and intensification of contacts between people. Ara Babloyan also noted that Armenia-EU cooperation also plays an important role in the agenda of the Armenian-Czech cooperation. According to Babloyan, the agreement on comprehensive and expanded partnership signed by Armenia and the European Union opened a new page in the relations between Armenia and the EU.
The head of the Armenian parliament expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of bilateral economic ties in recent years. At the same time, saying that the potential has not yet been fully realized, Babloyan noted that Armenia expects direct investments from the Czech businessmen in the Armenian economy.
In his turn, the Czech prime minister turned to the importance of the Armenian-Czech relations. Babish presented the domestic political situation in the Czech Republic, noted with satisfaction that the country recorded a stable economic growth.
