ArmInfo. Ara Babloyan, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, received Tanya Radochay, the head of the UNICEF Yerevan Office in Yerevan on August 20.
According to the press service of the Parliament, during the meeting Babloyan noted that the protection of the rights of children has always been at the center of his attention. According to the speaker, in this sphere it is very important to ensure the continuity of the existing programs in Armenia.
Speaking about inclusive education in the context of the protection of the rights of the child, the NA President stressed that inclusive education should be viewed as a global goal, especially for children with developmental disabilities. According to Babloyan, in this area the state should take care of such issues as earlier identifying problems, and then, providing the necessary intervention, ensure the child full integration into public life.
In her turn, Tanya Radochai noted the importance of the process of reforms conducted in recent years in Armenia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of implementing joint initiatives related to World Children's Day, as well as a number of issues related to the protection of children's rights.
