ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia Timur Urazaev.
The Prime Minister noted the importance of further development of the Armenian-Kazakh relations and expressed confidence that the activities of the ambassador will contribute to the expansion and deepening of bilateral relations in various fields, the press office of the Armenian government told ArmInfo.
Nikol Pashinyan stressed that a good atmosphere had developed in the relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan, and added that this would promote cooperation between the two countries in different directions.
Timur Urazaev noted that Kazakhstan is interested in strengthening effective cooperation with Armenia in both bilateral and multilateral formats, including within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
The interlocutors noted the importance of expanding trade and economic ties between the two countries and noted with satisfaction that in the first half of 2018 the volume of trade turnover between Armenia and Kazakhstan increased by 2.5 times compared to the same period last year. Nikol Pashinyan and Timur Urazaev noted the great potential for the development of business contacts and discussed various tasks related to solving the problem of logistical relations between countries.
The sides also touched upon the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and attached great importance to strengthening peace and stability in the region. Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the Karabakh conflict should be resolved exclusively within the framework of the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group.
