ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Judith Farnworth on August 2. The parties discussed prospects for expanding the Armenian-British economic cooperation.
As the press service of the government reports, Grigoryan stressed the importance of the consistent development of the Armenian-British relations. The activities of British companies in Armenia, he said, are important not only in terms of attracting foreign investment, but also forming a business environment and rules that satisfy the government. According to the vice-premier, the behavior of one institutional investor, corresponding to international standards, forms around itself a lot of positive phenomena.
The ambassador, for her part, presented a number of programs implemented by the embassy to stimulate Armenian-British business ties. As the diplomat pointed out, the programs, on the one hand, contribute to the implementation of reforms, on the other - inform British investors about the prospects of establishing a business in Armenia and the possible accompanying risks.
