ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in St. Petersburg at the meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental council confirmed the full commitment of the Republic of Armenia to the international obligations, including within the EAEU.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, the prime ministers of the EAEU countries - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, chaired by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, discussed issues of deepening integration cooperation in the customs, energy, transport and other spheres of the economy. In particular, the parties touched on the digital agenda of the EAEU, industrial cooperation, customs cooperation and improvement of the legal framework of the EAEU. The participants of the intergovernmental council also discussed the creation of a body to investigate aviation incidents and form a common gas market.
According to Pashinyan, the topic of promotion of the digital agenda is of priority for both Armenia and the whole EAEU. And the common gas market, as the prime minister believes, will give a new impetus to the development of economic cooperation between the countries, increase the level of integration and competitiveness of the economies of member countries, the level of reliability, accessibility and quality of gas supply to consumers, promote fair competition in the union, positively affect the pricing process.
The Council decided to hold the next meeting in autumn 2018 in Belarus.
