ArmInfo. The Civil Contract party does not want to comment on the latest developments related to the case on March 1, 2008, in particular, the accusation of second President Robert Kocharyan in overthrowing the constitutional order.
MP from the Party Lena Nazaryan in a conversation with the correspondent of ArmInfo explained this position of the party's representatives by the fact that the case is investigated within the legal framework, and it would be inappropriate at this stage to come up with political assessments that could hinder the process and influence it. "Let us wait the results of the investigation," she suggested.
At the same time Nazaryan also did not want to comment on Kocharyan's political statements that the case is fabricated and reminds a political vendetta. "In any case, Kocharyan is now in the status of the accused, I think it is inexpedient at this stage to comment on his statements," she noted.
To note, the second Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, former Defense Minister Mikael Arutyunyan, who is now on the wanted list, and CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov, who in 2008 occupied the post of the head of the Yerevan garrison, were accused in the March 1 case for overthrowing the constitutional order.
