ArmInfo. Chairman of the Investigative Committee Hayk Grigoryan sent a letter to the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Mane Tandilyan, so that the latter regulates the lists of registration of socially unsecured families and the process of allocating benefits to them.
As reported by the press service of the IC, Grigoryan in particular noted that the Investigation Committee of Armenia is investigating the case under article 178 of the RA Criminal Code. The letter reads in part: "The SC established that the employees and the head of the Stepanava territorial social assistance agency of the Lori Region Administration, using their official position, by collusion with the Haypost, set themselves the goal of appropriating other people's property on an especially large scale, operators and postmen of "Haypost", servicing the city of Stepanvan and nearby territories together with the employees of the Stepanava territorial social assistance agency from 2013 to 2018 illegally several residents were registered under the guise of low-income families, and after the lists were approved by the Center for Technology and Awareness of Nork's social services, the cybercriminals appropriated a large sum of money by placing fake signatures in Haypost.
Considering all the above, and not excluding that such abuses are possible in other territorial agencies, I ask the staff of the relevant authorities to carefully study the beneficiary registration lists, as well as the approval process for the benefits."
