ArmInfo.Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan raised the issue of the intention of the German defense concern Rheinmetall to cooperate with Azerbaijan within the framework of the working visit to Germany.
The press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan stated this at a briefing in Yerevan on July 2.
"Those explanations that the German side gave us, we were quite satisfied," he said.
Meanwhile, referring to the demonstration at the military parade in Baku of US helicopters Bell-412, Balayan called not to believe everything that is written in the media. According to him, the Armenian side much earlier started the investigation on this issue and found out that such helicopters are manufactured in several countries under American licenses, and they are intended for non-combat applications.
As ArmInfo informed earlier, it became known about the intention of the German defense concern Rheinmetall to cooperate with Azerbaijan: "The declaration of intent clearly stipulates that the German defense concern in cooperation with Azerbaijan will not violate the OSCE arms embargo." Rheinmetall intends to conclude deals with Azerbaijan In the middle of June a representative of the German company John Taylor and then Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan Yaver Jamalov signed a declaration "about the future of bilateral m cooperation. "The signing took place at the exhibition of defense industry Eurosatory near Paris." According to the German concern, the document emphasizes that Rheinmetall will provide services that are not subject to the embargo of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
