The signing of the Armenian-Japanese intergovernmental agreement on liberalization, promotion and protection of investments will become a new incentive for attracting new investments, Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Jun Yamada stated today during a meeting with the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Artur Grigoryan.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Energy, Ambassador Yamada, expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, noted that the Japanese Embassy will assist in the implementation of possible joint programs in Armenia.
During the meeting, issues related to the Armenian-Japanese cooperation in the field of energy and natural resources were discussed. The Minister expressed gratitude to the Japanese government for the assistance provided to Armenia in the energy field, expressing the hope that the current cooperation between the two states will continue.
The interlocutors discussed the opportunities and prospects for the implementation of joint programs, especially in the areas of renewable energy and natural resources.
