ArmInfo. The Ministry of Health of Armenia found out the cause of the death of animals in the Yerevan Zoo.
As a result of the checks, it became clear that the cause of the fall in the winter of several dozen animals, in particular, llamas, deer, and other species of cloven-hoofed animals, was tuberculosis.
Despite the fact that tuberculosis from animals is transmitted to humans through the use of raw milk of diseased species, however, the Ministry of Health warns about the possibility of infection by airborne droplets. According to the Ministry of Health, children are at risk. In this regard, the Ministry of Health warns parents to be especially careful when visiting the Yerevan Zoo. At the same time, the Ministry of Health reports that among the employees of the zoo there are no people infected with this virus.
