ArmInfo.On June 13, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov (Russia), Andrew Schofer (USA) and Stefan Visconti (France), as well as Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
As the press service of the Armenian government reports, the prime minister noted the importance of the role of co-chairs in the negotiation process for the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict and expressed confidence that effective cooperation will be formed.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to continue its efforts with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to settle the conflict peacefully, through negotiations. The co-chairs, in their turn, congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his election as the Prime Minister of Armenia, assuring that they will make every possible effort to reach a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh problem.
The sides noted the need for the parties' commitment to the commitments on the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached at the summits in Vienna, St. Petersburg and Geneva.
The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs informed the Prime Minister of Armenia about their forthcoming work plans.
The interlocutors discussed the forthcoming steps to create an appropriate atmosphere for the promotion of the negotiation process, touched on the situation at the Karabakh conflict zone.
