ArmInfo. The new government of Armenia is ready to implement all programs aimed at protecting the rights of children. This was stated by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan during the meeting with the delegation of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), headed by the representative of the Tanya Radochai Foundation, on June 12.
Tanya Radochey, according to the press service of the Ministry of Justice, expressed gratitude to the Minister for the reception, and confirmed her readiness to continue and develop cooperation. She pointed out the importance of creating a juvenile justice council, which, she estimated, was working effectively. The representative of UNICEF expressed the hope that this experience will be extended to other joint initiatives. Tanya Radochai also noted the importance of the distance learning program for judges and prosecutors in criminal cases of minors, as well as Armenia's membership in the global partnership under the "End Violence Against Children" program. She also stressed that Armenia is one of the few countries with a small number of under-age convicts in correctional institutions.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities for deepening cooperation in the areas of family legislation, preventing violence against children,
