ArmInfo. Since June 1, about 80% of the Agreement on Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership will come into force. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan stated this on May 31 in a conversation with journalists.
Papikyan noted that within the framework of the Agreement from 2017 to 2020, the European Union will provide Armenia with a grant of about 176 million euros. According to the latter, this amount is envisaged for the implementation of reforms in the country in various spheres. In 2018, the EU will provide Armenia with a grant of 36 million EUR. According to the minister, it is possible to increase this amount if the principle "more for more" is applied.
At the same time, Papikyan noted that to assume that from June 2 in our lives there will be fundamental changes, at least naive. "This is a long process, I hope that the commitments undertaken by the parties will be implemented," the deputy minister said.
Papikyan also noted that already 3 EU member states (Baltic countries) have ratified this agreement.
