At the same time, he stated that the date of his visit to Armenia was not chosen by accident, he came to Yerevan to participate in festive events timed to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic. "This shows the broad relations that bind Armenia and France, I was excited to visit the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex and the memorial to Musaler, where I opened a monument to the sailors of the French fleet, from the same region as I," said the French minister.
Le Drian said that Armenia-EU relations were also on the agenda, as well as a signed framework agreement. In this context, he noted that France has made a serious contribution to the signing of an expanded and comprehensive Armenia-EU agreement, which is unique in its kind and opens new opportunities, including for the expansion of the Armenian-French cooperation.
