ArmInfo. The head of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ara Babloyan, is convinced that all political forces should discuss the issue of holding early elections in the republic through discussion.
Thus, when asked by journalists on the margins of the 27th meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, whether he sees the need for holding early elections in the country, Babloyan said in particular: "The issue of holding early elections is promoted not only by the Prime Minister, but also by the Prime Minister different political forces express themselves on this issue, I believe that this is a matter of general discussions, when it is time, we will sit down at the negotiating table and make a decision. " Answering the question whether he sees the need to amend the Electoral Code, Babloyan expressed the conviction that the protection of democratic approaches and the Constitution is to be able to move in harmony. "We should not set a precedent for carrying out steps outside the Constitution, if political forces come to the need to make changes, they will be implemented," the speaker of the parliament said.
To the remark that the rest of the political forces want to change the rating electoral system, meanwhile the Republican Party of Armenia categorically objected to this, Babloyan said that every political force has the right to express its position, and the above-mentioned issues can be changed only as a result of discussions. According to him, the RPA was always ready to negotiate and promote all positive changes.
Asked whether they fear that the RPA will not be held in the next parliament, the speaker called not to make predictions: "We will be able to find out who will receive the number of votes when new elections are held." Today it would be wrong to make forecasts, that today there are no prerequisites for dissolving the parliament. "
