ArmInfo.The Armenian Prosecutor General's Office will study the compliance of declarations with actual incomes of officials. On May 23, the Prosecutor General of Armenia Artur Davtyan stated from the rostrum of the parliament, answering the question of the deputy from the "Tsarukyan Bloc" faction, Naira Zohrabyan.
The deputy believes, 163 cases of corruption identified, 43 of which concern officials, look ridiculous.
According to the Prosecutor General, the new body, the Anti-Corruption Center, will start to deal with corruption issues, and if there is a crime, the prosecutor's office will initiate criminal cases.
Artur Davtyan once again voiced his earlier statement about the absence of political prisoners in the country. According to him, any act must be considered in the legal frame. For this, there are courts and law enforcement agencies.
