ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and introduced the new Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan to the staff of the department.
As the press service of the Armenian government told ArmInfo, Pashinyan stated during his speech that the diplomatic corps of Armenia is one of the established systems of our state, enjoying trust among citizens.
The head of government expressed gratitude to Edward Nalbandian, who had been in office for ten years, and in particular, said: "The motivation for appointing Zohrab Mnatsakanyan to this post was the following: to ensure smooth political changes for the diplomatic corps and the Foreign Ministry." I believe that henceforth we must work seriously because there are important issues on Armenia's foreign policy agenda that are of vital importance for the RA.The natural development of Armenia, security and international relations depend on our position on these issues national authority", he said the prime minister, and in this context, adding that today the international authority of Armenia is at a high level and this is a good opportunity to turn them into foreign policy achievements.
At the same time, he expressed the conviction that political changes should not, if possible, affect the diplomatic corps, which is a good way for effective organization of work.
Pashinyan congratulated Mnatsakanyan and expressed hope that, if he is in this position, he will be able to achieve new successes in foreign policy. Mnatsakanyan noted that in recent years, under the leadership of Edward Nalbandian, the diplomatic corps has increased its professional capabilities and potential. "I understand the whole volume of existing challenges, but I feel confident and strong with the existing big team."
