ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Romania Sergey Minasyan met with Chairman of the Senate of the Romanian Parliament Calin Popescu Tariceanu.
As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, the Romanian deputy Varuzhan Voskanyan also attended the meeting. Minasyan presented the internal political processes in Armenia.
Armenian Ambassador underlined the importance of the early ratification by the Romanian Parliament of an agreement on a comprehensive and expanded Armenia-EU partnership. Minasyan also touched upon the Karabakh conflict and stressed that Armenia attaches importance to the peaceful settlement of the conflict under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group. At the same time, he highly appreciated Romania's balanced position on this issue in recent years.
The sides also touched upon the upcoming summit of Francophonie in Yerevan in October 2018 and the importance of the participation of the Romanian side at a high level in the events.
The interlocutors also discussed a wide range of issues of regional security, including the situation in the Middle East.
