ArmInfo.Chairman of the State Duma Committee for International Affairs Leonid Slutsky expects the preservation and development of the allied relations between Russia and Armenia after the Nikol Pashinyan's election to the post of Prime Minister of the country.
"The election of Prime Minister Pashinyan is undoubtedly an internal affair of this country, for our part we are counting on maintaining and strengthening our bilateral relations, continuing the course towards a strategic partnership, developing cooperation within the framework of the EAEU and CSTO," Slutsky told reporters in Tuesday, Tass reports.
According to him, "the position of the newest head of the Armenian government, first of all, assures us that the priority for Yerevan remains the allied relations with Moscow. Russia and Armenia have historically been together, together we must build our future," Slutsky said.
