ArmInfo. Deputies of the Republican Party of Armenia Shirak Torosyan and Mihran Poghosyan disobeyed the party's decisions and voted "for" the candidacy of Nikol Pashinyan in the elections to the prime ministers of the republic. As the sources told ArmInfo, soon the head of the RPA parliamentary faction Vahram Baghdasaryan will make a statement in which he said that these two deputies have nothing in common with the Republican Party.
Meanwhile, the evening before the meeting of the RPA executive body in an interview with journalists, the vice speaker of the Armenian parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said that the Republican Party of Armenia had already made a decision on the election of the country's prime minister. "The decision was made, this is a collective decision of the Republican Party of Armenia, we are committed to our political opinion, I personally will vote against it, however, this does not mean that those who vote against are bad, and those who are "for" are good, or vice versa. We have already expressed our position and concern at the first stage of the elections, having exclusively political and ideological implications." he said.
