The Republican Party Faction cannot allow the internal political crisis in the country to worsen, therefore the RPA will not impede the nomination and election of  Pashinyan, and on May 8, the Prime Minister will be in Armenia. This was stated in the conversation with journalists by the vice speaker of the Armenian parliament, Republican Party spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov.

Sharmazanov said that he did not change his point of view and what he  said about the domestic political situation, the election of the  prime minister and everything else is invariable. "I do not see Nikil  Pashinyan as supreme commander-in-chief, my personal opinion is  invariable, it is not personified and God forbid that my fears would  be unfounded, and the new government justified the expectations of  our people, but I will vote against Armenia and Artsakh.  It is  reasonable not to see reality, our country is not ready for shocks,  "Sharmazanov said.

Speaking about the rejection of Pashinyan's candidacy on the part of  the RPA on May 1, and on May 2, the decision to support the  Republicans of his candidacy, the vice speaker assured that the  political realities changed in one day. "Our vote was political, and  we expressed our point of view, the faction decided," Sharmazanov  said. The Vice-Speaker also denied the prevailing opinion that RPA  leader Serzh Sargsyan alone solves all issues. He also denied the  information that Sargsyan flew to Moscow. "He is not going to leave  Armenia," Sharmazanov assured. 

Referring to the statement of Pashinyan on need to on the need to  abolish the rating system of elections, Sharmazanov said that he does  not share the approaches of the oppositionist, and considers this  electoral system to be democratic.

At that, he assured that the RPA does not intend to keep the power by  any means."We are ready to work in favor of Armenia, and if tomorrow  the RPA will become opposition, there is no need to make it tragedy.   One thing is clear, the history will put everything in its place.

At the end, referring to the situation in RPA itsels, Sharmazanov  stated that considers it right for Serzh Sargsyan to remain at the  post of the head of the Republican party.
