ArmInfo.The US calls on all parties in Armenia to get engaged in a constructive dialogue. This was stated by the Department of State spokesman Heather Nauert.
"Upcoming days are a historic moment for the people of Armenia and their elected leaders, as they begin the process of forming a new Government. We call on all parties to engage in a constructive dialogue within the framework of the Armenian Constitution to ensure a peaceful transition of power that would flow within the regulatory field, "says Nauert, quoted by RT.
She noted that the US is looking forward to beginning "close work with the new Government in many sectors representing mutual interest." Earlier, the leader of the opposition movement, n, the deputy of the Armenian parliament Nikol Pashinyan, who initiated the protests in Yerevan,stated that he is ready to become Prime minister, if the people "will assign responsibility to him". On April 23, Armenian President Armen Sargsyan accepted the resignation of the Government. The acting Prime minister now is Karen Karapetyan, former first deputy Prime minister.
