ArmInfo. One of the nationally beloved national holidays of the country, Nauryz-meyramy, was celebrated at the Kazakhstan Embassy in Armenia.
Welcoming the guests, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia, Timur Urazaev, spoke about the history and traditions of Nauryz, which from ancient times was revered in the East as the beginning of a new year and a bright day of creation. He also said that in the multinational Kazakhstan everyone, regardless of religion and nationality, celebrates this holiday since it is a holiday of friendship, unity and good. "With great satisfaction, I want to note that peace and tranquility, stability, progressive development of the society and the priority of the social policy of the state are the most important achievements since independence," he stressed in Urazaev, adding that Kazakhstan considers the world from the first days of independence, stability and security of public policy.
"Today we celebrate Nauryz in a wonderful country - Armenia, where traditions and culture are similar to Kazakhstani, our states share many kilometers, but the values of the eastern culture make us closer and more understandable to each other." It is necessary to emphasize the commitment of the two modern states to close interaction within the framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The vice-speaker of the National Assembly, Mikael Melkumyan, who attended the celebration, agreed with the opinion of the Kazakhstanis, noting that in 2010 the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution according to which the 21st of March is recognized as the International Nauryz Day.
A special atmosphere of the reception was given by the Kazakh color of the festive program and congratulations sounded in specially organized concert numbers. National dishes such as kazy, pilaf, baursak, kumis and shubat, prepared especially for this holiday, also attracted the guests.
The guests of the festive concert and dastarkhan were representatives of the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, ministries and departments, the deputy corps of the RA, leading media outlets, accredited diplomatic missions in Armenia, prominent public figures and experts, as well as Kazakhstani students studying in local universities.
