ArmInfo.Azerbaijani refugees can return to Artsakh if they recognize its jurisdiction. This was stated in an interview with Mirror Spectator by Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan.
Sahakyan noted that when the international community discusses the issue of Azerbaijani refugees, one should not forget about the Armenian refugees. Touching upon the process of the Karabakh settlement, he highly appreciated the efforts of the Minsk mediators in the peace talks. "We are aware that the international community represented by the OSCE Minsk Group is interested in solving this complex problem," Saakyan said, adding that the efforts of the Minsk Group alone are not enough. The Artsakh leader stressed that the non-constructive, radical, militaristic policy of Baku only hampers the achievement of agreements during the talks. Sahakyan again stressed that for the final settlement of the conflict, it is necessary to involve Stepanakert at the negotiating table. "Artsakh is doing everything possible to return this format of negotiations," he said.
