ArmInfo.The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia instituted criminal proceedings in connection with the unscrupulous execution by officials of the Ministry of Culture of their official duties, as a result of which the state suffered damage amounting to 67 million AMD.
As the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office informs, as a result of studying the documents it became clear that the officials of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, in the framework of the "Repair, Restoration and Consolidation of Monuments" program for 2014-2016, took virtually no work done or made with omissions as fully executed, and paid 67 million from the country's budget, thereby inflicting heavy damage on the state.
"In addition, representatives of technical supervision organizations and contractors have made non-existent data in the acts of the executed works, and in fact they have not fulfilled and performed with defects." The Prosecutor General's Office for this incident instituted criminal proceedings on the grounds of Article 315 part 2 and 325 Part 2 (unfair or negligent attitude of officials to their job duties, leading to non-fulfillment or partial performance of work, as well as falsification by a group of persons by prior agreement document) preliminary investigation entrusted to the Investigative Committee," Prosecutor General's statement reads.
