According to the OSCE report, which arrived in ArmInfo, co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Igor Popov (Russia), Stefan Visconti (France) and Andrew Scheffer (USA), and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk visited Baku on February 7, where they met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and on February 9, Yerevan, where they held talks with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. In both capitals, the co-chairs held consultations with the foreign ministers. "The co-chairs also went to Nagorno-Karabakh on February 9-11, where they met with the actual authorities and visited specific places in Zangilan, Kubatly, Agdam, Lachin and Kelbajar districts.
The co-chairs stressed the importance of conscientiously fulfilling all the commitments made at the summit in October 2017 in Geneva, in Vienna and St. Petersburg. Co-chairs also expressed deep concern over the casualties on the line of contact. At the same time, the mediators called on the parties to take additional steps to reduce tension in accordance with the Geneva agreement, observe the cease-fire regime, and refrain from inflammatory statements and provocative actions, "the mediators said in a statement. help the parties to find a peaceful solution to the conflict based on the main principles of the Helsinki Act, including such principles like non-use of force, territorial integrity, equal rights and self-determination of peoples, while the co-chairs welcomed the intention of the parties to continue intensive negotiations in the light of the current election period.
