ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Greece Fadej Charchoghlyan on February 7 met with the Greek MP and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the shadow government of Greece from the opposition party "New Democracy" Jorgos Kamucakos.
As reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry, referring to the previous meeting of the Armenian Ambassador and the chairman of the New Democracy Party, Konstantinos Mitsotakis, the deputy confirmed that some businessmen who are members of the party are also interested in doing business in Armenia. The two sides exchanged views on the issues facing the two countries, as well as on the regional and international agenda in which the New Democracy MP presented his party's approaches to domestic and foreign events in Greece.
Ambassador Charchoghlyan informed the interlocutor about the latest developments in the Nagorno- Karabakh settlement, about the efforts made by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to assist the settlement process. Ambassador Charchoghlyan also touched upon the Comprehensive and Expanded Armenia-EU Agreement, stressing the importance of early ratification of the document by the Greek Parliament. The sides also discussed prospects for expanding parliamentary diplomacy and trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
