ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Romania Sergey Minasyan met with Minister of National Defense of Georgia Mihai Fifor. As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo, Minasyan stressed that the Agreement on a comprehensive and expanded partnership between Armenia and the EU, signed in November 2017 in Brussels, creates fertile ground for deepening cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats. In the light of modernization and development of the country's armed forces, the Armenian diplomat stressed the importance of international military and military-political cooperation for Armenia. The ambassador believes that bilateral contacts will allow us to outline possible areas of cooperation in the defense sphere. In his turn, Fifor welcomed the idea of stimulating dialogue and forming a bilateral agenda, which could also include sphere of military and defense education, military medicine and other areas. The interlocutors touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It was stressed that the conflict should be settled exclusively by peaceful means, through dialogue, within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
