"However, the delivery of pills containing psychotropic substances and drugs to Armenia is banned and contains elements of contraband." The Eurasian Economic Union also prohibits the transportation of medicines by mail, "the ministry said. However, the SRC reported that in 2017, the Investigation Department of the Committee was opened 95 criminal cases on such cases, a preliminary investigation was carried out.
The department also reports that the main stream of tablets containing psychotropic substances and drugs comes mostly from European countries - France, Belgium, Italy, etc., in recent years there has also been a tendency to send parcels containing "hashish oil" from the United States. Vazgen Shahnazaryan, chief of the 3rd department of the investigative department of the SRC, said that electronic cigarettes delivered by mail show "hashish oil" or other kinds of drugs, which is also perceived as smuggling. At the same time, he called for refraining from sending such parcels to Armenia.
