ArmInfo.A member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe from Slovakia, Lubos Blagan, on his Facebook page turned to the speech of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in PACE.
The MP noted that he wanted to express his respect, friendship and solidarity on behalf of the Slovakian Parliament from his rostrum on behalf of the Slovak Parliament, but since he did not get there, he decided to share his remarks on the social network. Blagan noted that he initially shared Armenia's positions on both the Karabakh settlement and the normalization of relations with Turkey, recalling that in 2004 the Slovak parliament recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide in the beginning of the 20th century. "Armenians are a brave people that has suffered a lot, Armenia is an exemplary country that closely cooperates with Russia within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and actively cooperates with the European Union, which resulted in the signing of a bilateral Partnership Agreement," the MP wrote, while expressing the hope that Armenia will not follow the path of total liberalization and privatization, trampling on the social rights of the population, which is an inexorable consequence of neoliberal reforms. "I pray for you Armenia," the Slovak deputy summed up his entry.
