ArmInfo. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammedyarov discussed with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of France Jean- Baptiste Lemoyne the current situation in the negotiations on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
As reported by the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Mammedyarov provided detailed information on the progress of the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He said that on January 18, 2018 in the Polish city of Krakow he will meet with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian. Mammedyarov did not bypass the issue of the interaction of several French cities with Artsakh.
He noted the importance of preventing the government of France, which is the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, the establishment of ties of a number of French cities with Nagorno-Karabakh, and not allowing the representatives of the republic's authorities to enter France. In ten French cities that established friendly relations with the cities of Artsakh, the events held within the framework of the festival Days of Artsakh in France. Artak Beglaryan, Advisor to the State Minister of Artsakh Republic, Artsakh's Permanent Representative to France Hovhannes Gevorgyan and representatives of the French diaspora organizations participated in the festival. This event caused a protest of Baku.
