ArmInfo. Serzh Sargsyan cleared his way to the leadership of Armenia through a variety of falsifications and violations of the law. And today there are no real reasons for his refusal from his own "achievements". Director of the Armenian Center for Political and International Relations Aghasi Yenokyan expressed the opinion of ArmInfo.
"In general, it is at least incomprehensible to me what is capable of preventing Sargsyan from continuing to lead Armenia. This man came to power on March 1, stepped over human victims, falsified the results of the elections, and for which he should refuse today the outcome of all this activity? It seems to me that the grain of doubt that is generously scattered on the domestic political field has as its goal the attainment of artificial tension, for which we will all see in the near future, "the political expert said.
The information field in Armenia is flooded with contradictory rumors. Thus, Serzh Sargsyan and Karen Karapetyan came to a consensus on the personnel reshuffles scheduled for April 2018 after the expiration of the presidential term. Karapetyan, allegedly, will assume the post of vice-premier, in whose charge will be the financial and economic and social blocks of the government. Sargsyan also intends to oversee political and security issues as a prime minister. Sargsyan himself makes occasional, contradictory statements about his political future from time to time.
Yenokyan is linking Sargsyan and the recent Russian federal channels that have infuriated Armenia. According to his estimates, the policy of keeping Sargsyan in a state of tension before some kind of threats has been conducted by Moscow for a long time. This is done, in his opinion, in order to draw new evidence from the President of Armenia of his own loyalty to the leadership of Russia.
At the same time, the political expert does not exclude the version according to which the anti-Armenian campaign in the Russian media is primarily intended for the ears of the internal audience, which should show dissatisfaction with the signing of the Armenia-EU treaty. And this is in conditions when this document received the full approval of the Kremlin.
