ArmInfo.The member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) signed at the session of the Collective Security Council in Minsk an agreement on cooperation of members of the organization in the field of ensuring information security. In addition, as RIA Novosti reports, the countries adopted a statement on joint measures to strengthen the defense potential of the CSTO countries and opposed the "color revolutions".
According to the information, a declaration was adopted in connection with the 25th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty and the 15th anniversary of the CSTO, a decision on the legal design of the CSTO partnership institution. The CSTO countries also signed the annual report of the Secretary General of the Organization. The heads of the CSTO states in Minsk also adopted a declaration in which they opposed the solution of international disputes through "color revolutions" and "hybrid wars." "Throughout its existence, the CSTO, being a strictly defensive organization, strictly adhered to the principle of non- interference in the internal affairs of other countries, mutual respect and equality, consideration of their legitimate interests," the document says. It emphasizes that the parties do not accept "any intentions to solve interstate problems and international disputes with the use or threat of use of force, by inciting interethnic and inter-confessional intolerance and the resolution of statehood by other methods, including using the technology of" color revolutions " and "hybrid wars." In the declaration, the parties reaffirmed their adherence to the principle of the priority of political and diplomatic means in resolving and settling conflicts. In the conditions of conflict potential in international relations, our states made a convincing effort to ensure that the organization (CSTO - ed.) was able to provide a guaranteed response to any attempts to destabilize the situation, violate peace and security in its area of responsibility," the document stresses.
