ArmInfo. The European People's Party confirms full support for the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group in the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict based on the norms of international law - non-use of force, territorial integrity of states and the right of peoples to self- determination.
This is stated in the declaration of the EPP following the results of the Brussels summit. The EPP in the declaration urged the parties to the conflict to adhere to the principle of adherence to the ceasefire regime, to respect the 1994-1995 ceasefire agreements, to take steps to build confidence in the region, to reduce tensions in the line of contact, to implement the agreements reached at summits in Vienna, St. Petersburg and Geneva .
The EPP also welcomes the forthcoming signing of the Agreement on Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership between the European Union and Armenia, as well as the liberalization of the visa regime under this agreement. The EPP also expresses satisfaction with the democratic reforms being carried out in Armenia.
