ArmInfo.Denmark will simplify the visa regime for a number of categories of Armenian citizens. On November 9, the Armenian government approved the proposal on concluding an agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Denmark on simplification of visa issuance.
As Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan pointed, the agreement provides for a significant simplification of the process of issuing visas to Armenian citizens. "Citizens of Armenia get the right to stay in Denmark and other countries of the Schengen zone for a period of no more than 90 days every 180 days," Kocharian noted.
Simplified procedures for issuing visas, as explained by the deputy minister, apply to a number of Armenian citizens, in particular, to the next of kin of Danish citizens or legally residing citizens of Armenia, members of official delegations, students intending to study there, persons traveling for treatment in Denmark this country, for journalists, businessmen, participants in scientific conferences, seminars, international sports events, representatives of civil society, parents of schoolchildren, students, graduate students.
The agreement also regulates the procedure for issuing multiple-entry visas for up to five years to the following categories of citizens: couples and children (under the age of 21) traveling to Danish citizens or RA citizens lawfully residing in that country, members of national and regional governments and parliaments, constitutional and supreme courts, delegations that, within the framework of an official invitation, should take part in events in Denmark.
