ArmInfo. Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan considered incorrect the "leakage" in the media regarding the candidatures of the RA ambassadors, who should be appointed in those or other countries.
"In no country in the world where ambassadors are appointed by the foreign policy department, such discussions in the media before the official appointment, as it happens in recent times in Armenia, can not be," the deputy minister said, referring to the "leaks" in the media regarding the candidatures of the RA ambassadors in Georgia.
According to Kocharyan, such discussions before the official appointment of ambassadors are unfolding only in those countries where they are appointed by parliaments. Speaking about the candidacy of the new RA ambassador to Armenia Ruben Sadoyan and the rumors circulating in the media around his name, the deputy minister advised him to give estimates after the new ambassador starts his duties: "We have to see how it works and only then give assessments" , he declared.
Answering a question about why Sadoyan was nominated as RA Ambassador in Georgia, who did not differ in political or any other sphere, Shavarsh Kocharyan noted that this issue is being decided by the president of the country.
To note, before the appointment of Sadoyan to the post of RA Ambassador in Georgia, the name of the political expert Sergey Minasyan was exaggerated, however, for unknown reasons he was never appointed.
Already the ex-ambassador of RA in Georgia, world-famous weightlifter Yuri Vardanyan was forced to stop his mission for health reasons.
