ArmInfo. Students of the Academy of Justice of Armenia will get reduced scholarships. Corresponding amendments to the laws "On the Investigation Committee" and "On the Academy of Justice" were approved at a government meeting on November 2. The package will be sent to the parliament of the country in the established order.
According to the Armenian Justice Minister David Harutyunyan, currently, prosecutors and judges who are studying at the academy receive a high stipend equal to the salary of the assistant judge. Meanwhile, investigators were deprived of the right to receive scholarships. Now it is proposed to establish a scholarship for all, but with a reduction in its size, since it is a question of state assistance, and not about guaranteed high wages. As a result of the package, the scholarship rate will be reduced to the modest salary of the secretary of the court session, which will require an additional 9 million drams from the state budget.
