ArmInfo. The Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union should not be opposing structures, and in the case of Armenia it becomes obvious that as a member of one union, one can effectively cooperate with another. Armen Ashotyan, the head of the parliamentary commission on foreign affairs, stated this at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly "Euronest".
Ashotyan noted the importance of the upcoming signing of the Armenia-EU extended and comprehensive partnership agreement, which in turn would lead to the liberalization of the visa regime between the parties.
He also stressed that the Euronest site is not envisaged for the discussion of conflicts, but it can stimulate a dialogue between the delegations of Armenia and Azerbaijan. "It is already important that at the last meeting of the organization it was recorded that all the conflicts on its territory differ in essence and that the Karabakh conflict should be settled on the basis of peace talks, three fundamental principles (the right of peoples to self-determination, non-use of force and territorial integrity states) within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, "the deputy said.
