ArmInfo. Russia welcomes the readiness of Azerbaijan and Armenia to intensify the negotiation process on Karabakh settlement. This was announced at the briefing on October 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, commenting on the results of the Geneva meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"We welcome the stated readiness of the sides to intensify the negotiation process and take additional steps aimed at reducing tensions on the contact line. "At the same time, we support the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, who are now working on the issues related to the next meeting of the Armenian and Azeri FMs discussing the essential issues of the settlement and possible measures to stabilize the situation," she said.
At the same time, Zakharova expressed regret at the fact that the situation in the conflict zone remains difficult. "We urge Baku and Yerevan to show a constructive approach to finding solutions to unresolved issues," she concluded.
