ArmInfo.Microsoft Innovation Center with the assistance of Beeline in Armenia launched the contest of innovative ideas and programming "Hackathon" in the Center for Creative Technologies "Tumo". As the press service of Beeline told ArmInfo, the purpose of this competition is to stimulate the interest of creative youth in using the opportunities of modern technologies and submitting ideas for digital and innovative solutions.
As the main direction of Hackathon, the use of Big Data is chosen for the development of various solutions for the telecommunications sphere. Of the 40 teams that submitted applications, 25 have been selected, who will develop experimental versions of the solutions within 24 hours and submit them for evaluation to specialists. The jury will select two best designs, taking as criteria the scope of the work completed in 24 hours, the innovative nature of the idea and the degree of practical applicability.
"We, as representatives of the telecommunications sphere, are very interested in its innovative solutions, which help us to provide modern, interesting and useful services to subscribers. Of course, this is not a one- day job, and our company is constantly working on innovative solutions. I am happy to see so many young people interested in innovative technologies and full charge of new ideas at this contest, which is what we strive to stimulate in youth, and we are sure that this will change the life in the countries" said Beeline general director Andrey Pyatakhin, adding that this year the youth showed much greater interest in the contest, and the quality of the ideas presented by the teams was much higher.
