ArmInfo. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier, who completes his diplomatic mission in our country.
As the press service of the Armenian leader told ArmInfo, Sargsyan expressed gratitude to Charpentier for the efforts he made during his three years in Armenia to strengthen friendship with his faithful friend and ally France, and for his effective work in this the period particularly contributed to the development of the economic component of interstate relations. In parallel with the active political dialogue, the results of the work aimed at deepening economic cooperation, according to the Armenian President, are obvious and substantive: they are expressed as an active activity of the French Development Agency in Armenia, implemented in different sectors through investments of French capital by programs, among which an important construction program Vedian reservoir, activities of the company "Veola", etc. Sargsyan wished success to Ambassador Charpentier in his future activities and expressed his confidence that he will leave our country with pleasant impressions and memories, remaining a friend of Armenia.
In his turn, the Ambassador of France thanked the President of Armenia for the high appreciation and warm words, assuring that in his person Armenia will always have a devoted friend. Jean-Francois Charpentier considered himself a great honor and responsibility to fulfill the ambassador's duties in Armenia and stressed that the last three years were filled with quite memorable and significant events that further strengthened the relations of France with friendly Armenia.
The Ambassador expressed hope that the Armenian-French economic cooperation will continue to develop, having reached a high level of political relations between the two countries.
