Ex Deputy Director German College implements a number of charitable  programs in Armenian Gyumri

On September 20 Deputy Minister of Education and Science Vahram Mkrtchyan received the former deputy director of the German College named after Cardinal Frings Werner Bloom, who cooperated with the schools of Eghishe  Charents and Hovhannes Tumanyan in Gyumri, held a number of charity  programs there.

According to the press service of the Ministry, particularly, Werner  Bloom coordinated the work on supporting schools in Gyumri -  providing classrooms, financing reconstruction, organizing exchange  programs for teachers and students. 

Vahram Mkrtchyan stressed that he is well acquainted with the  educational and charitable activities of Bloom in Armenia. "With your  help, a number of children have found their future, we attach great  importance to your grateful work," Mkrtchyan said. The Deputy  Minister presented Werner Bloom with the Gold Medal of the Ministry  of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, for his  significant contribution to the Armenian-German cooperation in the  field of education, and for his dedication to the work.

In his turn, Bloom noted that at present a group of Armenian students  is in Bonn, and cooperation with Armenian schools, founded 15 years  ago, will be continuous. "Armenia has become my second homeland for  me, I am convinced that visiting German students in Armenia is also a  great experience," Werner Bloom emphasized.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister and German guest discussed  further programs.
