Early in the morning of September 19, the coordinator of "Armenian Women's Front" initiative Susan Simonyan called in the office of the Armenian Ombudsman for the "hot line", saying that the Armenian police were subjected to the drive of Hakob, Hripsime and Elmon Evgnukyan and members of the "Armenian Women's Front" initiative Ruzanna Yegnukyan, Aghavni Sahakyan and Geghetsik Tonoyan.
According to Armenian Ombudsman's office message, according to this signal, the latter were subjected to a drive for distributing leaflets to the participants of the Armenia-Diaspora forum in support of Sefilyan and Yegnukyan.
After receiving this signal, representatives of the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia visited the central police station of Armenia, where the detainees were. Representatives of the ombudsman's office held talks with the detainees and demanded an explanation from the police on what legal grounds they were detained. According to the explanation of the police, these persons were subjected to a drive on the basis of a signal that they installed explosive devices on the Republic Square in Yerevan.
After a series of works carried out jointly with the police, Hakob, Hripsime and Edmond Eghnukyan were released, and other persons subjected to the drive are being freed.
