ArmInfo.Holding the "Armenia-Diaspora" forum gives an opportunity to discuss the problems that concern all the problems together, to plan joint actions for the future taking into account the lessons of the past. This was announced by RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on September 19 at the sixth forum "Armenia-Diaspora".
According to him, Armenia has a huge potential, the disclosure and use of which will make it possible to turn the republic into a modern and advanced country that adequately reacts to all internal and external challenges. As Karen Karapetyan noted, today the whole world, including Armenia, is on the way of structural reforms, which are carried out in all directions, by supporting the country's worthy place in the world.
These reforms are aimed not only at streamlining and solving everyday problems, but also create the basis for the formation of a competitive Armenia in a changing world. It is important to ensure a stable long-term growth of the economy, the viability of the state in all spheres. This requires a significant increase in efficiency in all areas, for the achievement of which it is important to radically change the mentality and methods of action. As the head of government stressed, over the centuries the Armenian people fought, uniting their forces in times of danger. "We are proud of the fact that our nation, unlike many other nations, has retained its identity and was able to develop and create," Karen Karapetyan said, adding that the Armenian people went through wars, persecutions, pressures, genocide and attempts to destroy them. Despite all the difficulties, the nation never lost its dignity, did not give up the dream of seeing Armenia as an independent state. "Today's difficulties are incompatible with the difficulties our ancestors have experienced, as a result, we have today, we have our own independent state, and this is the most important value," the Prime Minister of Armenia noted.
In his opinion, the construction of a state based on efficiency, development, application of good traditions, is an inspiring goal, around which it is necessary to unite. "We ourselves should ask ourselves what kind of participation we can take and how we can serve this goal." We ourselves should ask ourselves why others can, and we are not, awakening in oneself a sense of dignity, "Karen Karapetyan said. He stressed that today the main task for all is the availability of a free, independent, fair and intelligent Armenia. According to him, at present a 25-year-old young man, representing the country-winner, stands firmly behind Artsakh, guaranteeing the right of the people of Artsakh to a free life, ready to react at any time to any provocation.
Karen Karapetyan stressed that today more than 7 million Armenian Diaspora stands next to Armenia, representing it in all corners of the world, participating in the process of building Armenia in various formats. At the same time, the Premier noted the subjective and objective disappointment of some representatives of the Diaspora regarding the situation in Armenia. He called for a joint effort to continue the business started for the purpose of building a country of which everyone dreams. "We need an advanced and developed country that will have an attractive force in which migratory flows will be put to a qualitative level," the Armenian government head noted.
He informed that at present a strategy is being developed for creating a digital agenda in Armenia until 2030, without which it is impossible to ensure growth efficiency and development. There are also some rforms on individual industries.
