ArmInfo. Speaker of Armenian Parliament Ara Babloyan received a delegation led by the head of One Free World International international organization Rev.  Majed El  Shafie.

According to Armenian NA press service, Babloyan expressed gratitude  to the head of the delegation and Canadian parliamentarians for the  decision to visit Artsakh. According to the head of the Armenian  legislature, in Artsakh they will be able to receive unbiased  information about Nagorno-Karabakh and the conflict. "I am glad that  you will visit Artsakh. There you will get acquainted with the  peace-loving and freedom-loving people and make sure that you are on  the right path - in defending the right of the Artsakh people to live  freely. Residents of Artsakh, unlike Azerbaijanis, just protect their  right to live in peace in their own home, "said the head of National  Assembly of Armenia.

At the same time, Babloyan highly appreciated the recognition of  Armenian Genocide by the legislative and executive bodies of Canada,  stating that even today the Turkish authorities continue to deny this  fact, they demonstrate the same approach as 102 years ago. The  Armenian speaker, citing the example of reconciliation between  Germany and Israel, stressed that the burden of lies still lies on  Ankara, and unlike in the past, today Turkey is regressing in the  matter of protecting human rights.
