ArmInfo. September 17-22, Armenia will host the first international music festival Russia-Armenia - a bridge of friendship called "To serve to Homeland". The organizer of the festival is the International Fund for the Memory of Arno Babajanyan with the support of the Ministries of Defense of Russia and Armenia.
The parties established the event as an annual interstate festival named after the People's Artist of the USSR, State Prize Laureate Arno Babajanyan.
The main objective of the festival is to unite efforts aimed at rallying the peoples of Russia and Armenia, strengthening friendship and cooperation, including in the field of art, patriotic and spiritual-moral upbringing of citizens.
The festival is planned to be held annually in different cities of Armenia and Russia. To participate in the festival in Armenia, the Central Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of Russia is invited, and in Russia the Presidential Orchestra of Armenia. The dates of the annual festival "To serve to Homeland" are stipulated in advance by the leadership of the Ministries of Defense and the Foundation.
The first festival will be held in the homeland of the composer from September 17 to 22 in the cities of Vanadzor - September 18, September 19 in Gyumri at 102 military bases, and on September 20 a concert will be held in Yerevan. The first festival will be timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia.
