On August 21, at the age of 79 years, the Armenian writer, playwright, translator, honored art worker of the Armenian SSR, the first minister of culture in the Republic of Armenia - Perch Zeituntsyan, died. Zaytuntsyan was the author of 12 plays staged in Yerevan theaters, and his books were translated in 11 languages.
Zaituntsyan was also an Honorary Member of the Roman Academy of Arts and Social Sciences - "Tiberina".In 2007 he was awarded the AAC "Surb Sahak - Surb Mesrop Mashtots" prize. And in 2016, on the 25th day of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, for his services in the sphere of culture, he was awarded the Order of Honor.
